A credenza made to be touched as much as it is admired. Its double doors are crowned with couture-inspired brass handles that form elegant discs when closed. Hand-hammered dimpling, reminiscent of a thimble, textures the handles, while subtly echoing the gouges of the turboplaned doors – a quiet dialogue between material and craft.
Named for and inspired by Christophe’s memory of his mother’s dressmaking table – where fabrics were spread and couture dresses created with meticulous care – GABRIELLE carries this sense of gentle ritual. Crafted from a single walnut trunk, the 3.5 × 0.5 metre top reveals the diameter of the tree, its curved underside engineered to provide beam-like strength and stability. Left untreated save for an ultra-fine sanding that closes the grain, the surface becomes a beautifully tactile homage to the timber itself. A collaboration between designer and craftsman, GABRIELLE honours walnut with uncommon precision and restraint.
GABRIELLE can be re-editioned in selected woods and finishes, and scaled to suit dedicated spaces – from two-door and four-door versions to the six-door example shown here. GABRIELLE is a celebration of skill, materiality and bespoke couture elegance.
