CARPENTE is a discreet London-based architectural and interior design practice founded on an unwavering commitment to pushing the boundaries of elegant and purposeful design, coupled with a conscientious and empathetic approach to its discerning clientele’s needs.

This, our largest residential project to date, began when our client showed us around their 1500 square metre, three-storey mansion set in 40 acres of landscaped grounds and gave us carte blanche to “improve it”.

CARPENTE was appointed to conjoin two flats on the fifth and sixth floors of a Victorian mansion block near Kensington Gardens. The 300 square metre interior and a 50 square metre landscaped roof terrace were remodelled to reflect the lifestyle and aesthetic concerns of the client.

CARPENTE was initially consulted for the kitchen and dining area design of an upcoming timber lodge project in Saanen. However, our involvement grew to encompass refining the traditional chalet-style exterior design and orchestrating the interiors on all four floors of the contemporary interior space.

This particular commission saw us join two neighbouring basement and ground-floor apartments in a listed Georgian building to create a 300 square metre 4-bedroom family home in one of West London’s most exclusive postcodes.

Our store design for Bruno Magli helped the company transition from a heritage shoe manufacturer to a luxury fashion brand. Inspired by a Renaissance painting, we created an ambience of intimacy using rare woods, detail-stitched leathers, and silk plissé.
